One star for the location. The showers are extremely dirty. Both the campsite and the harbor are completely unmaintained.

Not worth the price. Pitches along the water are nice and the location is beautiful. BUT: sanitair building looks like an abadond stinking place. Dogs are not allowed in the restaurant and even on the terrace. For bread and croissants we had to wait until 9.00 for the shop to open. Swim pool is nice but some furniture (like... chairs) would make it even better. Maintenance is simply non-existent.

The shower and toilet are very substandard. They aren't cleaned daily, especially during peak season. We stayed on the gravel pitches. The pitches with a view of the water, however, are beautiful. We cycled to Marken and then took the ferry to Volendam. It's very touristy and busy. The road from Volendam to the campsite is a nice bike ride; you'll come across a beautiful windmill.
