We stayed for one night on this parking place as did one other camper. Nobody kicked us out -but it was raining continuously. Leave no rubbish, make no disturbance, lots of empty parking overnight but has sports people using the complex during the day up to 10pm. Still lots of empty parking. A nice camping spot. Kiwi Shop across the quiet road. You give it a try and leave a review if we are ‘really not allowed’ as it could be ok??

A nice parking space. Not very calm, but not loud either. And there is even a public toilet on Birkebeinervegen, a 200 - 300 meter walk. That was in June 2017.

The parking lot at the sports hall in Lillehammer is free. No service, but only about 500 meters away from the city center. The ski flying hill (Olympia 1992) is in sight.
