Great campsite. We had a beautiful spot by the water. However, at night there were loud choruses of frogs singing their most beautiful songs. It is a short 8 km bike ride from the campsite to the beautiful city. Very doable. Unfortunately, I found cold water in the shower in the evening. Dated sanitary facilities, but clean. The large swimming pool opens next week.
Great campsite. Everything is available for campers. Unfortunately, the Dutch-speaking lady no longer works there, but English is spoken perfectly. Indeed, there is a noisy main road with trains, but a little further towards the river it is perfectly fine. You can enjoy a lovely bike ride along a cycle path beside the River Doubs to Besançon. About 6 to 7 km and you are right in the middle of the beautiful city center.
