Breisgau-Camping am Silbersee

A campsite that has all the potential but doesn't quite live up to it. Excellent pitches, but in heavy rain, everything floods. A dog beach, but it's overgrown. The sanitary facilities are functional, but outdated and use a coin-operated system where you don't know when the charge expires. A better price than other campsites near Freiburg that charge over €60 per night. Cycling to the city is easily doable.

We received a friendly welcome at reception. The toilets and showers were clean. The showers are coin-operated. You can order bread rolls, and some basic groceries are provided. The swimming pond is excellent, and there are several play areas for the children. There's also a swimming pond for dogs and a dog shower. There's also a restaurant on the property. Freiburg city center is a 35-minute bike ride away. We had a spacious pitch. There was a lot of traffic noise.

Unfortunately, both camping sites near the city were not available. Stayed here for one night. Great place if you are traveling, close to the highway. Lots of noise. Good facilities, friendly reception. Forest nearby where you can walk the dog.
