6 stars would have been appropriate. Stayed one night; passing through. You stay in the meadow at the entrance to the campsite. Everything here is perfectly taken care of and organized. The reception, the shop, the sanitary facilities, the pitches and camper facilities: all top-notch! Compliments. It is a good base for hiking and cycling. The old Transrapid test track is almost around the corner. The info center is open. €36 for 2 people, dog and electricity.

5 stars for the location relative to Lüneburg and for the efficient reception. If full, it might feel a bit cramped. Sanitary facilities are reasonably modern and clean. Camper facilities are good but are not located in a very practical spot. Pitch can be sandy. Restaurant available. Customer-friendly and good quality for a campsite. €43 for 2 nights. Electricity charged according to consumption. Cycling to Lüneburg through the forest is easy. Otherwise, take the bus: 5020.

Large campsite with many permanent residents. Various motorhome pitches scattered throughout. Reception and self-check-in machine. The term 'nature' doesn't really do it justice due to the layout and size. Sanitary facilities are basic and reasonably clean. Water points at pitches are unreliable. Motorhome facilities are fine, located in one spot. Vending machine with regional products within walking distance. Bread roll service. Restaurant (more of a snack bar) was closed. Good for walking and cycling. Salem within walking distance.

5 stars for location and hospitality. You can wild camp on either 2 meadows with pine trees or at designated spots by the lake (more expensive, not ACSI, sandy). Many permanent residents, all friendly. Sanitary facilities clean but dated, some still with just curtains (Finnish style). ACSI €23 all-in (ask about this). Shower €1/4 min, hot water for washing dishes €0.20/50sec. Good for cycling and walking. Small shop and bread service. Access via a fairly bad road.

5 stars for the location and distance to Schwerin. Also quite a few downsides. Despite the website stating that you can email or call in advance, the owner doesn't seem to care about that. The reception wasn't very friendly at the beginning either. It was later on. The sanitary facilities don't seem to be cleaned every day. Outdated. Pitches are fairly bare and sandy. Sometimes the distance to electricity is >25m. Sometimes there is a sewer smell from outside the campsite. The owner can't do anything about it, but it's still unpleasant.

Beautiful location in the former GDR restricted area, including a watchtower. Find a free spot and then check in at the hotel reception (open from 3 pm. Closed in the morning). Hotel staff are quite inefficient. Shower costs 2/4 min. Toilet in the hotel. Water at the entrance, grey water at the exit, and black water next to the warehouse. Blocks needed on the pitch. Sometimes 25m to electricity. Supermarket opposite. Many cycling routes. Hotel restaurant mediocre. Turkish restaurant/takeaway 600m away is good.

Very friendly welcome. Affordable off-season (€28 incl. water and electricity based on consumption). The pitches are very spacious and level. Unpaved. Drinking water at all pitches. Sanitary facilities clean and solid. Grey water: next to the waste. Be careful when driving in due to small obstacles (2 pipes sticking out of the ground). Lake Hardausee is a 5-minute walk via the back entrance and meadow. A walk around the lake (e.g. with a dog) is 1.6 km. Shop/Bar on the campsite. Also an establishment by the lake.

Beautiful location, friendly welcome, and smooth check-in. We stayed at the Wilde Wiese: a large, uneven grassy field where you choose your own spot. There is a lovely off-grid atmosphere there. A 30-meter power cable is certainly not a luxury. Other pitches are beautifully bordered by greenery. Sanitary facilities are very good and clean. Good walking and cycling opportunities. Dog play area available. It was very busy on the weekend, which detracted from the atmosphere. It felt like a city parking lot.
