Camping Markelfingen Bodensee

Positive: Cycle path is directly at the campsite Right next to the train station Clean restrooms Beautiful beach with shallow water Negative: Pitches are either on the grass under trees (prettier to look at) but very muddy with ruts when it rains. The pitches in the rows are unloved and bare. All are very small.

The site is particularly good due to its central location. Konstanz and Radolfzell are easily accessible by bike or train (free of charge). Standard pitches are cramped and sometimes noisy. Showers are great, but not enough. The beach is mediocre (swimming shoes recommended). Reception was very friendly and helpful, but very inflexible. We had to pay for all the reserved days when the campsite was fully booked, even though we asked to leave a day earlier.

For 39 eur p.n. for 2 people this is firmly at the price. Small pitches (50m^2) . This does include shower/water/electricity. + free ticket for public transport! You can do your shopping in Radolfzell at a distance of 2.5 km by bike (or by free train). To be able to swim in the lake you must first 150m through 30 -50 cm of low water. Registration takes a lot of time. Therefore always busy at the counter. At 12.30 lunch break: also in front of the barrier.
