Hello Anne, Martijn, Espen and Iep, We really enjoyed our stay with you. What immediately struck us was the enormous amount of Lilies of the Valley that were just coming into bloom. Your drive to make something beautiful was also unmistakable. The beautiful, eternal buildings radiate craftsmanship and are a feast for the eyes. Unfortunately we were unable to see Martijn at work, but the result speaks for itself.

A beautiful and quiet place to stay overnight, to walk and cycle and to discover the island. the cost per night has been increased to € 20.00.

Very hospitable community with the aforementioned airbrush paintings. The free swimming pool is also recommended. They even have a disabled chair to get into the water. you can also use something in the restaurant. All in all, highly recommended if you are looking for a place to rest.

excellent camp, but with south or west wind you cannot call the camp quiet, 500 m from the highway. Maybe it won't last all night.

Unfortunately we couldn't go, we would have liked to see this place. The people from the camper place went to the Netherlands for a week. Furthermore, the path was too soft for a non-4x4 because we got stuck in a bend. By the way, we figured it out ourselves. So they will be closed until July 2024.

Nice parking space in the hometown of cycling legend: Joaquim Agostinho. The container site is already somewhat dilapidated, but the garbage bins are still there. There is also good cycling in the middle of a few large wineries. You can find shade in the park, food forest when the sun shines.

A very nice CP with a restaurant where you can eat reasonably well. Certainly not high quality. Definitely nice people. On the other side of the river is an old, cycleable railway line. On our trip we saw cork trees and resin harvest from Scots pine. There is a possibility that you will also encounter otters in the river.

Nice quiet place. Sanitary facilities okay. Pizza restaurant available. €13.50 with electrical time included. Are you coming for the natural swimming pool…. then you swim among frogs, algae eaters and water snakes. 2-6-24. You can sit comfortably there. The 6km MTB/walking route is wide and boring at the beginning. Lots of loose stones. The dam, fen and water mill make it fun.

Great CP here. As for the sound of the water purification, think as if it were the river. A beautifully beautiful Citadel stands in stark contrast to the buildings on the other side of the city.

What a great place. Correctly. Nice village with ruins of a castle. Nice playground and a swimming pool in high season. In the village there is a spar and some restaurants. Everything is well maintained. What peace. Friendly villagers who say hello. And what a beautiful region. If you like mountain biking, you can choose from 8 routes. You drive through a varied landscape with the peaks of the pico in sight. Many walking routes. 👍 Great.

It couldn't be better than what we found here. Every camper place can follow this example. we want to see them more like that. Even charging campers has been considered. We didn't have the right cable with us to try it out, but that's for next time.

called yesterday from the barrier, there was still no answer. even after contact from the carabinieri, that they would be there in 10 minutes, we have not heard from them.

We came here a few days after the heavy rain. The river had quickly spread across its full width and had crumbled many sides. Large trees had already fallen and other pieces showed cracks. We have seen a moderate river with a beautiful view with fireflies in the evening. Regularly awakened by the big bangs of cannons to keep the bears and wild boars away. That worked out well, by the way.

Great campsite, where the sanitary facilities are a bit outdated but clean. there is a swimming pool and several sanitary buildings. Spacious pitches on the campsite, often with electricity and sometimes with water.
