Wow! If all campsites in Belgium were this good what a great change it would make. Can’t figure out why all the campers are parked facing inward instead of outward towards the very nice forest, though. We felt like anarchists for enjoying the view :-)

An aires right on the Loire cycleway with hot showers you can control, all for €14. Definitely 5 stars!!!

A campground that is also a quirky museum. If you like automotive history, or even just car related brocante, this is the place for you. €22 with electrics. No boulangerie in the village.

Someone needs to wake up the CC algorithm. This place has been a Camping-Car Park site for over a year now. Price is currently €13.50.

Now €15. Too expensive.

Update to 2025. It still exists, and so does the WC (with toilet paper!). Great view of the chateau. 3€ for fresh water and electrics. Dump for free.

Should be a four, since there aren’t many places in France where you can camp next to a lake that is safe to swim in. However, the price is quite high at €16.22, and I don’t think the Camping-Car Park company is properly controlling the number of campers. They say they limit to 32 pitches, but I certainly counted more than that.

Could be a great place if it wasn’t so noisey. Constant background noise of the big highway, and a pump on the next property that turns on every 15 minutes day and night. Bring your ear plugs.

A very well set out site in a tiny village. Only gave it 4 stars because no electricity, but why would you expect it for free? The nearby “voie verte” for cycling, however, is actually the road. That’s a first for me in France :-).

The price is €14, which is probably a bit high. As well, the football pitch next to it has today become a travellers campsite and we were alone, so we felt the need to leave.

A great spot with plenty of shade. Pick your own site. Would be a 5 apart from a weird hole to empty your toilet. Also, if you want to cycle in the area, make sure to bring your VTT.

A fun municipal in a tiny French tourist village. More shade than the other campground nearby, but still somewhat at a premium. A wonderful place for hiking.

A classic French municipal campsite, and in a mountain paradise no less. I haven’t seen it mentioned in other reviews, but there are a number of cycling options here, including a great MTB route up the river. You can even cycle into nearby Briançon and avoid almost all of the main road.

it’s all been said in other reviews, so all I can add is that this was easily the most memorable site during our trip through northern Italy. Angela and Enrique make the world a kinder, better place. Grazie mille!!!

This may be one of the cheaper sites in the area, but that doesn’t make it a good one. You are packed in four rows of campers, and the amenities are very poor. The site’s access to the lake is also very run down, and only allows you a 5m strip between a wall and the water. We saw dog feces there and a rat. :-(

The number you need to call now is +39 328 426 1032. Sadly the site looks rundown and weedy. There is also lots of traffic noise, since the pitches are about 50m from the main route out of the village. I guess it deserves a 3 because power and water are supplied, but I gave it a 2 to bring the average down, since it definitely doesn’t deserve a 4.

A wonderful aires-de-camping-car if you just park on the river side. There is a tabac in the village that would enjoy your custom. Best of all is a cycleway that goes 15km up the valley. it’s paved almost all the way, and very controlled for cars and motorbikes, so you have it mostly to yourself. Very doable with an e-bike. Amazing views.

Payment machine now working, but no barrier arm. You can take your chances, or be happy to pay something for the spectacular views (when it’s not raining, of course :-)).

Very expensive for what it is, giving you an outstanding view of a crane and construction of a multi-story building. Check in wants almost as much info as you supply for a bank loan. Every campsite in the area is over-priced, though. The area is not set up well in that regard for CC users. Bring your wallet :-)

The city has changed the prohibited dates. They are now June 1 - August 31. They will ticket you if you disobey. you must instead register with Alpacamping (not an easy process). The cost today (June 1) is 12 euros. No services. Shame on the city.

The toilet and shower no longer appear to be available. They were quite “rustic” when they were open, but they did at least justify an extra star. It is still a very nice place in the countryside.

Four stars for the lake 300m away, and two stars for two sets of four pitches that are so slopping you can get stuck getting in and out. Don’t trust the machine when it says there are less than eight pitches available. Walk the site first and then decide.

Sit in the full sun in tight pitches and look longingly at the big trees where everyone with just cars can go. Why would you pay 12 euros for that. Nowhere for camping cars to even park for lunch, since there’s a height barrier (and an almost empty car park behind). Shame on the council!

Right next to a great, unrestored village, and all the better for it in Provence. Thanks to the local council for making this site available in such a wonderful setting. Very busy tonight.

Multi-use site with lots of locals. No designated spots, so can get quite tight on weekends. There is a sanitary station about 75m behind the campsite, on top of the embankment (follow signs). This is very unkempt, especially the toilets. Council should spend some of the fees collected in maintaining this facility. Nice river, but swimming is prohibited.

Right next to the canal, under oak trees. Would give it five stars, but no facilities or power. Website may not work for payment, but you can pay the owners at their house, which is just around the other side of the farm building.

A very nice aires, and an even better epicerie about 25m from it just around the corner. Baguettes, pain chocolat, and an amazing range of fruit and vegetables. No need to drive to the supermarket, that’s for sure.

A parking lot full of campers, cars and buses, and a town where they let cars drive through ALL the streets. Who wants to stay at a circus!?!

Proximity to village is all this aires has going for it. Little shade, no place to sit, services broken. Tourist cars during day and school pickup morning and afternoon. There is a better spot about 1km away at the start of the velo route (“camping-car reserve”).

A summer site in this area of France should have trees, not sun reflecting on white chip (wear your sunglasses!) The only thing to recommend this one is how close it is to the town centre.

Ok, but not very tidy, and sometimes hard to find a place open to pay your fee. Try the pool at the top of the hill, although you'll need to knock on the glass to get the attention of the attendant. Only a very tiny waste basket with restricted top for refuse. The city officials should be ashamed to charge 5 euros and not provide adequate garbage disposal. Yuck!

A very good site, but perhaps a bit expensive, although both electricity and wifi are included. Very clean toilets, too. Excellent boulangerie with good coffee 100m down the road. Day visit dump site appears to be for free!

Very restricted number of sites, with campers staying for many nights in a row. During summer it would appear you would be very lucky to get a site. Tried for two days running, and at different times of the day, but no luck.

One of the cleanest aires d'service in weeks, and the toilets even have paper! Cost is 5 euros, but that includes entry into the wonderful swimming pool. The village is plus belle, and the Cafe Plum in town has a different live music act every night. That's a first for us in France, especially in such a small place. Boulangerie at far end of village is also excellent, with wonderful decor. Perfect

Yes, it's as tight as sardines (on a pinchos, of course), but the city should be commended for even providing such a facility, especially since it's only an easy, safe 10 min ride to Concha Beach. Anyone who doesn't spend all day in this beautiful city, rather than staying in the aires, needs to have their head examined.

Fine for what it is, which is a big paved parking lot with a small stream on one side and an abandoned furniture manufacturer on the other. Town has all the amenities, but not a great deal of charm. The amenity plantings around the village are excellent, however. The town is obviously struggling commercially, but they haven't given up. No sign to show you where the aires is, BTW.

Sitecode: 50365

Wonderful French vacation town, but unless you have ear plugs you'll never sleep through the night. The town officials have also very kindly put big cement blocks obstructing part of the parking, making it difficult or impossible for camping cars over about 6.5m to actually park here.

An aires in a well-to-do suburb, and it shows. The first site I've ever seen in France that has an LED sign telling you how many vehicle places are still available. Bollard, credit card & code system. Good facilities including toilet. Warm shower down on the beach. Nice position overlooking the water. No shade, but good sea breezes. Some distance from bread, etc.

Sitecode: 1461

Nice place unless it's very hot, in which case there's no shade. No waste or water either, so it can't really have an 8, especially since you're charged 6 euros just for the privilege of parking in a big, sandy parking lot.

Too hot, too cramped (<3m), too noisy, too expense. Not worth considering during the high summer season, and not an aires, just part of a campground.

A lovely shaded aires, with facilities by jeton. Great boulangerie and butcher both within 200m, nice walks right from your campingcar door. Only problem (?) is that the village is just a bit too "perfect", with everything fully restored and no rough edges. Feels a bit like Chipping Norton. Is it part of commuter Poitiers? Also, strangely, no cafe.

What a lovely site. Park on the grass under the trees, with a lovely breeze coming down from the hills. Free waste and water, and within 200m of the centre of the village. Friday morning market in front of the church. Council staff are now collecting a fee, but it's only 95 cents per person. In England they'd charge you more than that just to turn around!

I agree with the other reviews - this is a real treasure. It's in effect a stellplatz in a garden, and right along the see. A perfect place to use as a quiet sleeping quarters after exploring all that Berlin has to offer (including the mind-boggling transit system). I would have given this place a 10 except that it doesn't have a drive-over waste water set-up. Mabye sure to dump before arriving.

Ho recensito una posizionepiù di 9 anni fa

Make sure you use your GPS so you don't mistake this place for the beautiful stellplatz just 300m further along the lake.

Ho recensito una posizionepiù di 9 anni fa

Sitecode: 3687

This is a campground, not a stellplatz, and not a very good one. Very small pitches (>8m could have problems), very tight turning. Worst of all, there is an extra charge for almost everything. And as others have said, they will not allow you to dump chemical toilets, and any dumping at all is only during certain hours. There are much better options nearby at a lower price.

A lovely wee campground set amongst a small farm. If you don't need showers or toilet access the owners will let you park in a paddock right next to a flock of rare Jacob sheep. Good selection of food items, and honey from the village of Honnig!

Very good for what it is, with nice toilets. Easy cycle ride across two quaint bridges to the old town. Ribe is wonderfully restored and well worth the visit.
