Some of the pitches are very narrow, and I don't understand why they, apparently quite recently constructed, aren't completely level in this location. But otherwise, perfect! This certainly won't be the last time! Volunteer-run village shop. Starting point for four stages of the Rheinsteig hiking trail (approx. 60km) thanks to public transport and the Deutschlandticket (Germany Ticket). Road, rail, and boat traffic didn't bother me.
Sitecode: 12959
Years of experience with this place. Unfortunately, there are no alternatives in Eltville if you don't want to park at a wine merchant's. Nothing is pleasant other than parking in this paid parking lot. For me, the same applies to the municipal lot in neighboring Oestrich-Winkel. The winemakers' lobby in the Rheingau seems to have a long arm.

June 13, 2025: A uniquely beautiful, "wild" site with all the amenities. Wide, empty beaches. Well-maintained restrooms. €20.39/night for 2 people + RV. I estimate 100 occupied units (RVs + (a few) tents), and it's still not full. Bike path to Cap Fréhel.
Sitecode: 7980
Great view, all facilities. The best Italian bread in Italy is available in a small bakery, and there is also cheap local wine. There is also a small corner shop in town. 27€/night with electricity for 2 people on 10.06.2024
Sitecode: 10146
Doorst place in town, but you can't really complain. Gray water disposal excellent. The chemical toilet disposal cubbyhole could use a lightbulb.
Sitecode: 10128
According to the owner, the most beautiful campsite in Ireland, and I don't want to contradict him at all. It feels good, all facilities are well maintained, lots of space. Definitely worth seeing: Waterville (Chaplin) and the surrounding area. Otherwise: Judge for yourself about the "Ring of Kerry".
Sitecode: 65627
If you like it quiet, this is the place for you. Dingle Peninsula less touristy than Ring of Kerry but at least as worth seeing. Walking distance to Gallarus Oratory and Kilmalkedar, Good base for exploring the stunning West Coast (Dunquin), Connor Pass and Mount Brandon. Owner very sociable and helpful. I didn't find the sanitary facilities outdated.
Sitecode: 55319
Recommended small campsite. National park information, groceries and pubs within walking distance. Sanitary completely ok. We arrived on Saturday. For the young and the young at heart: in the next pub, things really got going in the evenings! Very quiet night again on Sunday.
Sitecode: 20524
Large sprawling facility with plenty of room for everyone. All facilities, well maintained. We would have liked to have stayed a third night, but any information beyond check-in was rare or non-existent. One point deduction. I don't understand why the campercontact site is listed under Aillepreachain and not, as the name suggests, under Doolin.
Sitecode: 76938
Quiet pitch, with everything the camper needs, including laundry. Very good shopping facilities in town. Ideally suited for a break to relax. As for the couple that owns it, you couldn't be more accommodating.
Sitecode: 65376
The view of Teelin Bay alone is worth the money for this place. Everything else has already been said. Maybe one more thing: free breakfast eggs from the free-ranging farm chickens. I didn't see a donation box, but deposited a normal amount of money.
Sitecode: 61196
Idyllic quiet place with everything you need. Toilet disposal restricted (only environmentally friendly chemical additives)
Sitecode: 55684
Well-kept, very nice quiet place right on the lake. Sanitary clean and spacious. Owner couple extremely helpful. You can catch your own dinner in the lake - if you like.
Sitecode: 58913
Beautiful place with all amenities. But you also pay for it: 34€/night with electricity without discount on 4.5.2022. When I started planning in April, the price shown on Campercontact was €23.
Sitecode: 8296
Absolutely tranquil and conveniently located overnight stop en route to Cherbourg Ferry Port. 15€ with electricity
Sitecode: 53573
Overnight stay on September 11th / 12th, 2021. 16 € / 2P (2 € compulsory card, 2 € electricity. For people who want to enjoy pure bathing holidays (unfortunately without shade) or are just looking for an overnight stay with V / E, the place is not bad at all. For people who want 4-star Hotel comfort for a lukewarm search is not good. It's just like Hitzacker on the Elbe on a sunny summer weekend, just with Adria and Italians. Since 3 1/2 stars are not possible, I'll give four.
Sitecode: 12078
Overnight stay on 10/11/9/2021 14 € 2P, with electricity. Place has all V / E facilities. There and back to Matera: "Belvedere" bus line. Tickets at the SP manager. Walking through the gorge to the old town (Sassi, approx. 3km) is an experience (sure-footed?). From the "Belvedere" viewpoint, near SP: Photo of Matera possible at night. Instead of these coordinates: 40.67221 / 16.62925 (visitor center), you can try these: 40.67040 / 16.62971 (SP entrance).
Sitecode: 67629
Overnight stay with electricity for 20 € / 2P on 9./10.9.2021. We did not use any other VE facilities. Pool available. Very nice location over the sea. Restaurant operation with excellent dinner. The second picture is strange. We saw a very beautiful sunrise over the Ionian Sea, but the sun doesn't set there.
Sitecode: 61843
We stayed here on September 8/9, 2021. VE worked fine. Many shops within walking distance. A bit uncomfortable, because the busy parking lot in the middle of town. But it was quiet at night.
Sitecode: 60056
The view of the strait and the end of Sicily is spectacular. But that does not excuse the neglect of all the facilities offered and often necessary for campers. 25 € per night for 2 people on September 6th, 2021 seemed quite outrageous to me. The operator shamelessly exploits its monopoly. (I don't know of any pitches with V / E to Brancaleone).
Sitecode: 20680
Well-run course, right on the sea water. I can't add anything else to the previous speakers and was happy to have found an open space with electricity and human service in this area on July 7th, 2021 around 7:00 p.m. € 21.50 including electricity and shower.
Sitecode: 15306
Arrived on July 7th, 2021 Place was closed.
Sitecode: 99888
Place approached on July 7th, 2021. Place was closed without any information. I only give the star because I have to give one. After this bankruptcy, I don't really want to forgive anyone.
Sitecode: 88923
Overnight stay on September 5th / 6th, 2021. How there should be four mobiles including power supply is a mystery to me, especially since at least one place is obstructed with metal containers contrary to the pictures. Garbage problems, as unfortunately mostly in Italy. Youngsters hang out here in the evenings. Otherwise great. View of both seas from the castle. In the middle of the place. Restaurants and grocery stores are within walking distance.
Sitecode: 79328
Well, you don't really know how to rate this campsite. The positive: Great location with direct access to the lake. Absolutely calm. Terraced places and electricity connections without end. Tall trees with sun and shade of your choice. The negative: For men almost only squat toilets in shabby condition. Showers still acceptable. Disposal facility hardly usable. I give 2.5 stars, but can only choose 2 or 3 stars.
Sitecode: 5251
2 nights from 1 to 3 September 2021, € 12 with electricity (off-season?), Actually a fully equipped campsite with a beach bar. In the pole position, with a direct view of the sea (sunset!), It's a bit more expensive (15 €). The sanitary facilities are perfectly usable, but a renovation could be good for them. The price overshadows many a pitch with all its facilities. The first picture is misleading. Reality is more comfortable.
Sitecode: 97243
Place used on 08/31/19/2021. I agree with the previous speakers.
Sitecode: 9201
08/30 My GPS could not find a parking space for the given coordinates. Coming from the direction of Potenza, there are supply pillars (electricity, water, disposal) at the end of the village, but no designated parking spaces. To the left of the facility, behind a small hilltop, were three mobiles. There might have been room for five. None used electricity. Column too far away? We drove on to Acceturra,
Sitecode: 22342
The place is officially called Lucania Outdoor Park. I found 15 € with electricity for an overnight stay on 08/30/2021 extremely expensive for what was on offer. Electricity, water, VE available. All seats behind one another on the edge of an uphill street. Horizontal parking is hardly possible, even with wedges. We stood alone in the middle of the forest. Distance to location unknown. I had the feeling that we were very lucky to see someone responsible at all.
Sitecode: 64120
One night on August 29/30, 2021 All facilities worked without any problems. No info on how to get into the place. Waterfalls of San Fele approx. 9 km away, but an adventurous 9 km!
Sitecode: 49637
The space leaves nothing to be desired. 10 € per night for 2 people with electricity on 08/27/2021. Getting there can be tricky: Entrance via a single-lane path parallel to the street. My sat nav didn't get that. and I only when my turn was over.
Sitecode: 8869
I thought the offer was good. 9 € for two people and one night with electricity. Apart from the fort, the area is a bit lonely for a longer stay. The place cannot do anything for that.
Sitecode: 20005
Approached the place on August 25th, 2021. He was not where the GPS reported "Arrival". About 100m before there was a place on the right side, as can be seen in the picture, but no information or staff. I didn't see any electricity connections there. Despite its location, the place didn't seem very loud to me. I then drove south to Ortona.
Sitecode: 3890
Two nights on July 22nd and 23rd, 221 Quite centrally located, very large system, but limited number of electrical connections. I didn’t think that the flat rate for electricity was € 4 per night for our small van. Gray water disposal in the holding tank also does not. In total, the two nights for two people cost 43 €.
Sitecode: 81150
Overnight on July 17th, 2021 Something else is idyllic, but if you don't need it, you're in good hands here in the middle of the historic city. I did not see staff. The night was calm. Many thanks to the city authorities.
Sitecode: 99391
Nice campsite on a small quarry pond with a beach. Quiet, lots of space and shade. Small restaurant on the square. Prettin is on the Elbe Cycle Route. About 1 km to the river and the ferry to Dommitzsch
Sitecode: 95372
Small, fine and calm. Right on the Elbe. Arrived here on July 17, 2021 for another stage up the Elbe on the Elbe Cycle Path
Sitecode: 51486
There are more than 10 seats but only eight electrical outlets if I counted correctly. Very quiet location (not directly) on the Elbe cycle path. Despite the inconvenience (actually this is a bathing establishment) I think the place is recommendable.
Sitecode: 59214
Very nice manager. Although actually full on August 31, 2020, he still found a place for our little camper. Clean sanitary facilities in the clubhouse. I don't really see what the difference to the “Marina” pitch is. They are right behind one another. We were on the last one at the driveway.
Sitecode: 60399
Kind of inhospitable. Space seems to be clearly overrun with electricity despite 30 spaces. Is probably due to the state capital. I haven't seen a manager. Showers in plastic boxes in former overseas containers. Arm yourself with well-stocked medieval money cats. Everything costs cents. Currency exchange not possible. I didn't particularly like the SP.
Sitecode: 12715
The spaces are not too tight and there is enough space for five mobiles. I've been here twice and all seats have been used. Camping for free is just not. Gray water and toilet disposal would of course be desirable. Doesn't necessarily have to be at the monastery. And the fact that the restaurant next door (in the monastery management?) Closes at 6 p.m. is also not particularly customer-oriented.
Sitecode: 78365
We are here on August 24th, 2020 with a lot of space under mighty oak trees directly on the lake (Elbe oxbow lake). Havelberg and Tangermünde as small towns worth seeing nearby. Actually too good for an overnight stay. But tomorrow we continue to Jerichow on the Elbe Cycle Path.
Sitecode: 604
Basically it is a large parking lot with a few sockets (five of them at the supply and disposal station). It was too crowded and uncomfortable for me on a Sunday (07/19/2020). I was looking for a quieter place.
Sitecode: 12558
Join my two previous speakers. The bakery service is early: before 8:00 a.m. with simple and safe logistics that I have never seen anywhere else. That's why you don't have to get up earlier, but you can!
Sitecode: 616
You can stand here quietly, but nothing else. By the way: the parking space is in Winsen, Luhe. at least some of the others that can be found under Winsen are in Winsen, Aller!
Sitecode: 12773
Quiet parking space. On our trip along the Elbe Cycle Path, Jork was the only administration that said that because of the Corona crisis, there had to be a distance of at least eight meters between the motorhomes. At the larger pitch, pointed out by a "friendly" camper who was lucky enough to get one of the few outlets in front of us, we preferred to drive to the marina.
Sitecode: 15702
Pleasant and quiet overnight stay. Inviting bars nearby. I counted 12 sockets.
Sitecode: 24797
Nice quiet place. Inexpensive and recommended for longer stays.
Sitecode: 4008
Quiet place near the Elbe cycle path, supply and disposal possible on another parking space in town. Conclusion: price / performance ratio (donation) is correct.
Sitecode: 64669
Almost perfect place, not exactly flat, but with all the furnishings. WLAN works as usual internationally (without a password), perhaps a little unusual for compatriots.
Sitecode: 51191
Nice quiet place with all facilities. Kind owner. Sanitary: no complaints. Supermarket nearby. All hiking parking lots for Falkenstein, Rachel, Lusen can be reached free of charge with the National Park Card using the forest train and bus. The card will be given free of charge by the course management. Footpath to the train about 2.2km, so bike recommended.
Sitecode: 3275
Very nice, spacious place to stay on the way to Southeast Bavaria, close to the motorway, and still very quiet. I am not bothered by children and young people who do sports while skating. Could also be interesting for bargain hunters who want to visit Bamberg.
Sitecode: 86099
We stayed here on 2.9.2019 on the transit to the High Tatras. Quiet and pleasant ambience with plenty of space. Also suitable for hiking in the Little Fatra.
Sitecode: 85996
Beautiful, shady place right on the bank of the Vltava, ca, 20km north of Prague, which may have seen better days. We have stayed here on the 1. 9.2019 reasonably priced on the transit to the High Tatras / Slovakia. Maybe also interesting for Prague visitors. Friendly German speaking reception.
Sitecode: 6891
I agree with the previous speaker. For me, the place is hard to beat.
Sitecode: 41312
4-seventh June 2019 Almost perfect place: central, quiet, all facilities available, even washing machine, and cheap. Most of the places are terraced, delimited by bushes and quite level. Whether bigger mobile fit - no idea. The other pitch in Forcalquier offered - apparently common in Provence - no electricity, so unsuitable for a longer stay.
Sitecode: 50247
Overnight on 30./31.05.2019 Only a few minutes walk to the old town. In addition to many tourists, I noticed two less tourist mobile apartments, the one I estimated as a "life artist", the other was probably more of a family of landlords with washing machine in front of the caravan. Nothing has happened. We slept quietly and well. For free you can not complain.
Sitecode: 24360
Acceptable place, beautiful location right on the promontory of the Rhone and from there overlooking Pont d'Avignon. A few minutes walk to the old town. Showers + toilet tight, but clean. I saw the cleaning staff working every day. Price on 28.5.2018 about 15,50 € (2.P./N, with ACSI card without electricity and Wi-Fi).
Sitecode: 2229
One night on 27./28. May 2019. Actually hardly too toppendent, largely free cookie for a longer stay (max. 72 hours). The previous reviews, I agree in content. I did not want to fill up with fresh water here: no proper separation from the emptying of faeces. Only four e-sockets. Paying for electricity every four hours is unfriendly and expensive.
Sitecode: 65279
On 26./27. 05.2019 Overnight on the way to Provence, just outside the village. Quiet, although located directly on the road, probably only of local importance. Great area on the Doubs, really too bad to drive only (bike path on the river with entry directly on the square). In the village there was at least a bar / restaurant. For his visit, the station square is closer.
Sitecode: 2987
very good price / performance ratio. Very quiet, no shower, but 7 € all inclusive. Fee is paid in the museum, informative staff. Starting point for various hiking possibilities in and around Hauenstein, Trifels, Dahn, Hinterweidenthal. Everywhere hourly by train (Dahn by train we did not try), free city bus from the train station to the center.
Sitecode: 10709
Idyllic place. Except toilet / shower everything is available. Hiker's paradise. Approximately 10km away from Aschaffenburg, if there once again the only parking space is closed.
Sitecode: 521
A parking space under a bridge also has its advantages. Main and city proximity have already been mentioned. We did not find the few skaters disturbing and slept well. The five euros I think for a place in this category in order. Tricky I found the Directions: In the middle of the "Odenwald Bridge" meant the Navi: goal achieved. It was true, only the floor was the wrong one.
Sitecode: 10239
"Camperplaatsen" or a sign with that on it, I have not seen. This is a car park where you have to pay, which does not prohibit the parking of campers.Overnight with our small camper cost 1 euro parking costs for 24 hours.Market / center within walking distance Paying public toilets at the exit to the center Assessment must be seen as neutral.
Sitecode: 20490
10.2017. Quiet, clean sanitary facilities. The place has everything a camper needs, except the hustle and bustle in neighboring Gerês. Access for large mobile is best via Covide.
