Camp Ostrov

The campsite is beautifully situated by the river, with a stunning view. We contacted the owner by phone and were allowed to choose a spot and pay the next morning. The sanitary facilities are very outdated and were very dirty. We had a delicious meal at the local brewery.

We had a pitch by the river. We saw many kingfishers. It got busy over the weekend, but we didn't experience any disturbance at all. Mostly families enjoying a sporty weekend. In the surrounding area, you can cycle along the river to Turnov.

We enjoyed our time here. We stayed for 2 days. It looked like a festival site. Everything was crammed with small tents, alternating with campers and caravans belonging to young people and the elderly. All for the canoeing. Mostly Czechs. The sanitary facilities were clean despite the many guests. They were maintained every hour. It was surprisingly quiet at night.
