On our 80 hectare property, we are gradually renovating the family farm. We have 2 or 3 pitches available for your camper vans and tents, on the edge of our lake or in front of our farm. The lake is private as are our woods which are served by a large forest track for your walks. By coming to us you will find peace and quiet, whether you want to fish or recharge your batteries in the calm of the countryside. Don't forget your fishing rods because from the fishermen's cabin and other points around the lake you can catch large catfish at will or fish "no kill" for trout and any other freshwater fish. You will arrive at our place via a pass with bends very popular with cyclists, then a small road in our countryside. A path closed by a barrier with a private property sign takes you to the lake a few meters below. Only friends or family have access to the lake and woods but during your stay we will make sure that you are not disturbed. Your dogs can be off-leash if they are not aggressive, as the road is not nearby. The setting is rural and rustic, here you will be calm and surrounded by nature. There may be the sound of animals at night, especially during the deer rut. You will have a unique experience, but don't forget your earplugs because these gentlemen deer call their beautiful does all night long without stopping. During the day you can admire eagles and hear the cuckoo. If you are lucky you will see the wild ducks and geese that come to stay at the lake, but also the deer, roe deer and magnificent stags that come to drink there. The pitches are provided on flat ground but you may need a wedge. The forest track has just been made and it climbs in switchbacks through our woods. You will be at the edge of a lake and woods with dense vegetation. There is no light, toilet or internet. To receive reception and to call you will have to go to the end of the path (a few meters) or return to our farm a few meters higher on foot. We invite you to download your films or series in advance or to do it at our place with our wifi sharing. Breakfast is optional, as is use of the microwave, Senseo coffee maker, washing machine and dryer, and house bathroom facilities at a mutually agreed time slot. Activities A grocery store, bakery, and gas station are 8 minutes away, and the larger towns of Foix and Pamiers, with their shopping areas, are 20 minutes away. There are restaurants in their town centers and nearby villages. Near Baulou, 7km away, is the underground river of La Bouiche. 14km away, at Mas d'Azil, the prehistoric cave of Mas d'Azil. 15km away, the beautiful town of Foix and its castle. 1 hour from Toulouse and 1 hour 20 minutes from Andorra. You also have the ski slopes and spa resort of Ax les Thermes 30 minutes away. There are some magnificent hikes to be done in our beautiful Ariège department. Other remarks These rentals aim to renovate the lake area, fishermen's cabin, hut, pontoon, bring in a water point and electricity. Fresh eggs are available for sale depending on the lay of our hens, as well as homemade jams and honey from our bees in our woods. Don't hesitate to ask for our homemade dishes. We will tell you the products and their prices during your stay.
