Parking at ski lift; close to station for train through the valley to Chamonix; bakery and grocery at 100 meters; ideal base for beautiful walks; tourism office nearby and friendly explanation

The place is certainly quiet, but not very beautiful and dusty. We drove a little further towards Switzerland and left to the church a little above the village. There we were just surrounded by nature. Just test it yourself.
