Camping du Ternin

This is what a campsite should be. A friendly welcome and complete peace and quiet in beautiful surroundings.

A lovely place. We received a friendly welcome; they helped us find a shady spot with a view of the forest. Walk shower, amazing. In the Netherlands, we would pay a fortune to have one at home, but here it is included in the price. A lovely little river runs along the campsite, providing shade and cooling. There are two eateries 700 meters from the campsite, which are highly recommended. Walking, cycling, there is plenty to do here. We will be back.

For the past 1.5 years, there has been a new manager at this small site of a former football club, featuring limited sanitary facilities (no toilet seats), no handwashing facilities, one shower with a pull handle, and a platform where the water doesn't drain. There is a small inflatable pool (5x2.5 meters) for a refreshing dip. There were a lot of biting flies, so the next morning we went to the nearby campsite Vert Auxois, which has good sanitary facilities, a restaurant, a swimming pool, and no biting flies.
