St Albin

We are parked at the P opposite the lock bridge and the restaurant and have a beautiful view. Much better than at the marina, enclosed between tall hedges.

There is nothing on site to indicate that there is a camper spot here. It is not confirmed or denied by the people at the restaurant. So let's hope for the best. If all goes well, definitely four stars! There are no facilities; the restaurant will not open again until mid-May. But it looks nice and clean. Leaving waste behind is prohibited under penalty of a hefty fine.

Spent a very peaceful night all alone here. Only the noise of the weir to lull us to sleep. We made the mistake of taking the lane from the St Albin along the river, it is very narrow and not advised. Rather travel on towards Ovanches on the D8 and take the direct and shorter road to the river.
