The campsite appears to be closed for good.

camping was gesloten, ondanks dat het al mei was. zag er (daardoor) behoorlijk desolaat uit.
ik weet niet hoe de sfeer zou voelen als er wel meer leven was

campsite was closed, despite it being May already. (therefore) looked pretty desolate.

posizione ottima per visitare Mont Saint Michel ma il paesino merita una visita con la sua cattedrale il campeggio spartano ma tenuto bene e quello che conta di più gruppo sanitari puliti e la signora alla reception gentilissima 

excellent location to visit Mont Saint Michel but the village is worth a visit with its cathedral the spartan but well kept campsite and what counts most clean sanitary units and the lady at the very kind reception
