Camping Chateau des Marais

Everything in order. Sanitary neat and sufficient. Nice service area. Quite extensive camping shop. Lots of entertainment. In addition to the individual places, many rental cottages and mobile homes. For us as campers too much family camping. It was very warm and that heat lingered.

The campsite is more than adequate. Everything is there. Neat sanitary facilities, restaurant, camping shop with bread service. etc. What disappointed us was the surroundings. There is nothing to do in the village and Blois is nice but is 20 km away. The cycle route along the Loire to get there was worthless. The castle of Chambourd was nice but this cycle route also disappointed us. All in all we stayed 4 nights. The campsite is recommended. The surroundings (for us) are not.

We enjoyed this campsite for four days. It was quiet, nice weather and the sun was shining brightly. We chose a place with private sanitary facilities (and washing-up tap/basin), together with beach lounge chairs that makes the party complete. And that for 10 euros p/d more. Nice swimming pool, supermarket is fine, fresh bread 🥖. Service is perfect. Blois is within cycling distance, as is Chateau Chambord. In short, a top spot.
