Camping La Grande Sologne

After trying many campsites over the past three weeks, this was by far the worst. In 32-degree weather, we were placed on an empty field with no shelter, even though there were plenty of free spots. The showers smelled and were covered in mold. We booked two nights, but left after one. The cafeteria had a fairly extensive menu, but by the time we tried to order, most of it was gone. In itself a great campsite, certainly for a stopover on the way south. The water pipe had burst the night before we arrived and there was temporarily no water on the entire campsite. The campsite owner handed out free bottles of water. Early evening there was water again. Our biggest misfortune was our neighbours. 4 French men who had had a bit too much to drink and had borrowed our chairs and had been riding the bikes. Not a pleasant night!
