Camping-Car Park de Gastes

July 20-24, 2026: €16/24h, no electricity, but water and waste disposal are included. A large, private campsite, mostly shaded by trees. There's a bar and a campsite nearby – that's about it. Swimming in the nearby lake wasn't possible at that time. It's about 20 km to Mimizan-Plage by scooter or bicycle. Very touristy. There's a lot going on there, and you can enjoy swimming in the Atlantic. I can recommend the campsite and would gladly return.

Large motorhome site by the water. It is best to be self-sufficient. One toilet is insufficient for a large site like this. No electricity. Fine for one or two nights. However, the surroundings by the water are beautiful. We stayed here for one night. It is possible to empty and refill water.

All the rest areas in the Landes department are marked Mont-de-Marsan... which is incorrect. This city, the capital of the Landes, is 120 km from this rest area, which is on the shores of Lake Sanguinet/Biscarrosse. The village is called Gastes. I've been traveling in a motorhome (Adriatik) since 1988, and your app is far too inaccurate. Not everyone uses GPS coordinates; a good map is essential for accurate location. Cheers
