Camping municipal La Passerelle

I was pleasantly surprised by the friendly woman at reception. I had emailed to ask if there was a spot available and received a quick reply that the campsite was full, but the camper site in front had two empty spots that couldn't be reserved. Fortunately, there was one left upon arrival. Excellent sanitary facilities and a hot shower with a badge. The site was small, no awning, but fine for an overnight stay. The noise from the main road was not too bad.

When we arrived at the campsite on Saturday at 12:52, we saw a young woman just locking the door. It was closed from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM. We had a reservation, but she was adamant. Grrrmmbbll... When she returned, we also received a sharp remark that we hadn't parked in the right place to wait. Other than that, it's a great campsite. Spacious pitches. Wonderfully quiet. Decent sanitary facilities.

Camping is well situated on the route Biaritz to Bordeaux. Paatsje Julien is reasonable. Unfortunately the sanitary facilities were closed until 1 June and water was also not accessible unless you receive a badge via the reception that is only occupied 2 hours in the afternoon. That is clearly a minus point. However, a good cycle path to the beach. (Contis)
