Checked with the Office du Tourisme (September 16, 2023): this is really only a parking lot and overnight stays are prohibited. Police can fine. Not been so one star is too many (couldn't be less). New Camper-Car Park at the port, yet to be introduced. See also CCP website.

From Carcassonne we used the coordinates. Guided by camper unsafe narrow roads and streets towards the lake. Fortunately, the final exit to the lake was not taken. A friendly Frenchman strongly advised us against it. He advised to keep to Homps and from there follow the signs to Lac. Finally, stop at the harbor in Homps because this place is directly adjacent to the Canal du Midi cycle route. No amenities.

Nice spacious parking lot on the lake. Lots of wind, which is refreshing,… No facilities other than a garbage can.
