Camping Isle Verte

Quiet, well-maintained campsite surrounded by greenery along a river. Tall trees, hedges. Parking spaces spacious, level, grass with a hard surface. Sanitary facilities good, clean, paper, soap. Private sanitary facilities excellent. Occasional power outages. Restaurant (reasonable), small swimming pool. Cycling area! Nice historic town with a castle and nearby monastery. Small supermarket a 7-minute walk away. Dog walking along the river (not swimmable).

Looks stunning, also nice terraces within walking distance. Had to wait an hour until the reception reopened. Unfortunately, no room for the number of days we wanted to stay, so we drove on.

You cannot enter the campsite outside reception opening hours. Wait until 2:00 PM. Why you have to show your dog's passport, and where the data is entered from, is a mystery to me. The dog costs 6 euros. A pitch with a view of the Loire is then 35 euros. (April 14th) so one night is enough then.
