The Frédéric Mistral campsite in Castellane is highly recommended! A small cozy campsite. The high main building, completely in the style of the region, used to be a farm. Sheep used to be bred here. The sanitary facilities are a bit outdated but very neat. Even in the evening everything is beautifully lit, both the facade and the paths at the campsite. There is a pizza oven and it smells wonderful every evening!

Great campsite to visit Castellane. We arrived on a busy Saturday and were able to stay for two days, which could eventually be extended by one day. Owner Arno seems a bit grumpy, but we still got a smile on his face! There is little opportunity for cycling in the area, but a trip to Lac du Castillon is doable with a normal (electric) bicycle. There and back about 14 km. Plenty of hiking and mountain biking opportunities.
