Campingplatz Staufeneck

We haven't had any bad experiences with this campsite. The man is a bit grumpy when you arrive, but once you're there, it's not so bad. If you ask a question, you get a polite answer. The sanitary facilities are a bit older but clean. The surrounding area is beautiful. Salzburg is a beautiful city, and the salt caves in Berchtesgaden are also very nice. The Kehlsteinhaus is also nice.

Despite peak season, reservations were easy to make on the morning of arrival. Unfortunately, office hours were limited. A friendly welcome. Beautiful spot by the river, good bike paths nearby, and restaurants within walking distance. The restrooms are a bit dated but clean and functional. A good stopover, even for several days.

Arrived today, August 14th, and the reception was closed until 6:00 PM. Fortunately, the owner showed up on time. We wanted to stay one night. A minimum of three nights was impossible, so we left quickly. We've been here before, never had a problem staying one night. I don't recommend this campsite.
