Nice location. But it's gotten expensive. Now very busy with campers. There's even a caravan and lots of cars parked on the camper sites. We drove on to Schüttorf.

We stayed here for a few hours on Saturday. When it got dark, there were a lot of noisy young people loitering and shouting in Arabic. We therefore decided not to stay and left the camper site mid-evening because it felt completely unsafe. A terrible place and definitely not recommended.

It's a bit unclear, but you pay €12 for the campervan here. Then you have to pay another €2.40 per person per night at the payment terminal. Lidl and a few other shops are within walking distance. I don't understand the tourist tax. You're here as a tourist spending money that you also have to pay for in the form of tax?
