Sund Camp Altefähr

Beautiful family campsite by a nice harbor with some activity, including terraces, a restaurant, and a ferry that goes to Salstrund, among other places. The cycle paths are mostly poor, more suitable for mountain biking. When it rains, the unpaved roads on the campsite become muddy. We really are nature lovers, but the many rooks disturbed our sleep from 4:00 AM onwards, which is a shame.

Three nights here. Fine campsite, no doubt about that. Good and clean sanitary facilities. But the fact that a huge camper is parked right in front of you, even though there was plenty of room further down the road. “It was only for 1 night.” But what about tomorrow and the day after? That is exactly when you want to sit outside in the late afternoon and evening. You are completely hemmed in. Scandalous. A smaller van would have been fine. They don't take guests into account.

The sanitary facilities are always spotlessly clean. Ideal location for bike rides or even a ferry trip to Stralsund. The snack bar down by the small harbor is also highly recommended. The only downside is the many crows; well, if I were an ornithologist...
