Quiet, clean bathrooms, lots of greenery. Friendly owner who offers tourist tips. The food (home-smoked trout, watched it being smoked) was delicious. We paid €35.50 per night for two people, campervan, without electricity. Pricey, but... everything has gotten more expensive, right? We thought the price was fair!

Expensive camping, for 1 night you pay 35€ as a pitch and 5€ for electricity. Everything is there, the man who was there when we arrived certainly had a bad day, so grumpy.

Quiet small campsite with clean sanitary facilities. Excellent location to visit Weimar and Buchenwald. We find 37.50 per night for 2 people with camper not in proportion to what is offered! Therefore only 3 stars.

In and around Ettersburg there are numerous possibilities for recreational activities: Starting point for excursions to Weimar, Erfurt, Jena and the Thuringian Forest Sports and games on the course Carriage rides through the Ettersburger forest and in Weimar Hiking and cycling tours Visits to the Buchenwald memorial (approx. 1h walk from the campsite over the "time lapse")
