Desert House Caravan & Camping Park

Friendly welcome and a "solid" pitch for our RV. We really didn't want to use the bathroom facilities wedged between the stable and a near-waste dump. Other than that, we were well-placed and had a quiet night...or almost: we were treated to a nasty storm!! Understatedly overpriced: €46 for 2 people (water + greywater disposal) - June 2025-

a campsite ideally located and at an average price for Ireland (36 €/night with electricity). BUT it is a farm campsite: the reception is in a garden shed where you are welcomed in a very friendly way, and with the exception of a dozen concrete pitches, the pitches are rather poorly demarcated. The toilets were built a long time ago in place of a stable (?) and this is reflected in the appearance and maintenance.

Had the last paved place with satellite reception. Price without electricity €26 with €34, electricity rates are being abused throughout Ireland! Walk to the center 10 minutes and the distillery is worth a visit. Owner is very friendly. Plumbing is nothing to write home about, so we don't do this either.
