Riva di Ugento Beach Camping Resort

This is our second time here. But be aware, last year the ACSI card was valid across the entire campsite at this time... now it's only valid in sector 1! Since the campsite is relatively large, these pitches are somewhat secluded and further away from the beach. This is a bit disappointing. The sanitary facilities are modern, adequate, and always clean. The supermarket is relatively expensive but quite well-stocked. The beach and the sea are fantastic.

A huge campsite in the middle of an unkempt forest. During our visit, it was a dust bowl. The sanitary facilities were passable, but not clean. The entrance was impersonal, and the reception staff were businesslike. Friendliness was lacking. There were no signs indicating the pitch numbers, but there were signs pointing to the beach, the supermarket, and the exit. The beach resembled one in the Caribbean, but unfortunately, a lot of seaweed washed ashore.

Don't go here in May (and probably the first half of June as well). The campsite is huge and the pitches are very isolated. We were given a pitch where, in the wide surrounding forest (the campsite is located in a forest), there was not a soul to be seen. Walking around, it was nothing but sadness in terms of emptiness and desolation. We checked out immediately. We did not get our deposit of 48 euros back (immediately). “Please send an email to the management.” So that is what we are doing…
