Was here in February during the day. Parking was completely full. We drove 45 minutes in Palermo before we could park our 5 meter long van. Consider one of the paid camper pitches.

I was here at the end of may 2014. It is in the middle of a residential area. Though very basic. I am but soon drove to a different spot.
