Camping Le Relais de Marrakech

After 3 weeks of trekking through the fabulous nature of Morocco, we have arrived in Marrakech. A place never to return to. The city is a tourist anthill, and the campsite was a huge disappointment after all the positive comments. What really sealed the deal was that street races were being held right near the campsite. And not just any street races, but for 3 nights straight until 4 a.m. We didn't get a wink of sleep. Fortunately, we are back on the road now.

The campsite is a small oasis with friendly staff. However, the food was not okay. A piece of chicken with sauce from a packet and fries, both far too salty, was expensive for what you got. Also, it seemed like it was a daily special with dessert. The dessert had to be paid for extra. We would love to return to the campsite and hope they can improve the kitchen.

We've been traveling for four weeks now. We came from Tan Tan Plage in the south. After trying 16 different campsites, we've finally found the best one, hence the five stars. I don't think 100 DH per day plus 30 DH for electricity is excessive. I paid 70 DH for something that wasn't even used. A nice pool was included in the price. Everything was well-maintained. We had two pleasant days visiting Marrakech.
