With us you can enjoy peace, space and the twittering birds. Our natural camping site has spacious, sheltered pitches between fruit trees and berry bushes. From the tent field you look out over the beautiful wide Laaghalerveld. The farm has the reception, heated and spacious sanitary facilities and there are additional facilities for campers. Under the walnut trees is the attractive outdoor area with the Drenthe barn, picnic tables and a fire pit where you can also barbecue over the wood. We sell apple juice from fruit from our own orchard, organic coffee and tea, local beer, organic wine and ice creams. Nearby are heathland areas such as the Hijkerveld and the Witterveld, the bird watching hut in Diependal and the Hooghalen forestry. The campsite is located on the Drenthepad, which is a beautiful walk. From the campsite you can take beautiful cycling trips, for example to the Drents-Friese Wold or the Fochteloërveen. You can swim in the nearby Baggelhuizerplas. In Hooghalen you will also find the former Camp Westerbork and Radio Observatory Astron. A visit to the Drents Museum in nearby Assen is always worthwhile. The famous TT circuit is located between Assen and our campsite. If there is wind from the north, you may experience inconvenience. Our camping site is car-free. You are allowed to take your car to the camping site upon arrival and departure. We find peace and quiet important, so we have no music, no entertainment and a night's rest from 11:00 PM. To camp with us you need a Nature Camping Card, which you can purchase from us. Do you want to go camping, but you don't have any camping equipment yourself? We have a tepee tent with wood stove for rent, which we will set up and prepare for you, including camp beds, stove, kitchen utensils, and a place to sit. We also have two attractive wooden log cabins for rent. Sleeping in a box bed or in bunk beds. Fully equipped kitchen, sit outside on the veranda, or inside by the pellet stove.
