Camping De Grote Altena, Eldorado

Booking is easy via the website, reception by the manager was extremely friendly, however, a snap from her husband because, due to a misunderstanding, we made a turn across the grass and left a trail. This felt very unpleasant. The spot is very beautiful by the water, with private water and drainage, sanitary facilities neat and clean. Camper facilities are available and tidy, and you can cycle to Nijmegen via the dike within half an hour.

A nice campsite. Beautiful paved pitches with a view of the Waal. For a little more money, it is even a prime location. But it is indeed on the pricey side: €42.50 in October. Hence no 5th star. The campsite is still completely full now, the first weekend of October. Other facilities are okay and clean. As far as we are concerned, highly recommended.

Beautiful spot with a view of the Waal. Excellent sanitary facilities and friendly managers. We stayed here for 4 nights and really enjoyed it.
