SVR-camping Schaapskooi Mergelland

A wonderful campsite to stay at. Friendly owners and staff. Quiet, spacious pitches. Toilets and showers are more than adequate. The reception area also houses a wool shop with all kinds of wool items and delicious lamb.

Quiet campsite. Spacious pitches and excellent facilities. The Spar (though expensive) in Epen is a 5-minute bike ride away (downhill). Maastricht and Aachen are easily accessible by bus, and for the more adventurous, by bike. Straight into the woods from the campsite for hiking and mountain biking. Friendly owners.

I completely disagree with Miekie in the previous review. It's a beautiful and peaceful campsite in South Limburg. A very friendly welcome. The toilets are even very clean and tidy. The showers are also perfect. Beware of the very hot water for washing dishes. A big thumbs-up!!! The surrounding area is, of course, beautiful for walking and cycling. While you're there, visit the friendly ice cream parlor (Wingerberghoeve) within walking distance.
