Papillon Maastricht

Toilets and shower are fine. Distance to Maastricht is fine. However, the location is not safe! Last night around 3:00 AM, people tried to steal our bikes. We heard a rumbling outside; I went outside and saw that the bikes were gone. I ran towards the entrance and saw the trio lifting our bikes away in the light. This was despite multiple locks. By shouting loudly, they got scared and let go of the bikes.

You are parked very close together with the other campers. The road is quite noisy. There are only 4 (!) toilets for 100 campers. It is a 45-50 minute walk to the town (initially along the bike path, as there is no footpath). We didn't like it very much.

It is a perfect camper site; we stayed overnight. After arriving, we walked to Maastricht and enjoyed some shopping and drinks.
