Kampeerbos De Simonshoek

We stayed at the campsite for 3 days. We were surprised by the many pitches available during the high season. We enjoyed cycling, walking through the adjacent forest, swimming in the beautiful pool, and having a nice dinner with the group on Saturday evening. The food was plentiful and of good quality. We had a pleasant chat with fellow guests about everything. The sanitary facilities were neat and clean. The park looks well-maintained.

Irma is completely ruining this campsite with her attitude and behavior. We arrived; my husband is disabled and receiving palliative care. We are traveling in a camper, and my daughter has recently moved to the area. Now she came to pick us up in her car and asked if she could retrieve the mobility scooter from the camper because the paths are so bad, full of holes. "No," she said, and she also added, "You shouldn't travel with a man like that." So we are not allowed to enjoy the time he has left.

The campsite is located next to a motocross track, which naturally causes a nuisance. But unfortunately not as much as owner Irma, who invents nonsensical rules right before your eyes. She installs electricity meters to monitor your consumption and has cameras hanging everywhere. Severely outdated facilities. ABSOLUTELY NOT RECOMMENDED!
