Camping Alkmaar

We knew in advance that we wouldn't make it to 5 p.m. Because we both work until 5 p.m., we contacted them, but no exceptions were made for a later check-in, because it would be dark then... Yes, that's right, but we have lights in the camper...

Beautiful campsite, except for field P, which is just a parking lot that we think is overpriced. You're right next to each other, with just enough space left and right for the awning. For a few euros more, you can find beautiful pitches, for example, in field S, and also excellent comfort pitches. Only if you have to get out of the car, you'll be stuck in a queue because you have to be through the barrier before 11:30. We think arrivals from 2:00 PM are too late. Later, we saw that for €1, you can also arrive at 1:00 PM.

The campsite is very easy to find and is located near the city of Alkmaar. We received a very friendly welcome and received good explanations about the possible places to visit. The restrooms were nice and clean. Highly recommended campsite.
