Are you coming to camp in our food forest? Koperwiek is a regenerative nursery, food forest and camping site. We grow trees, shrubs and plants for edible gardens, food forests and agroforestry projects. From apple trees to wild strawberries – and everything in between. At our nursery we are creating a food forest of 1 hectare, with 14 inspiring example systems. From a romantic food forest and agroforestry strips to a permaculture orchard – a green oasis full of edible plants. In the middle of this food forest you will find 15 atmospheric camping spots. Choose your ideal spot and stay in a fully equipped Bell tent, come with your caravan or bus camper, or set up your own tent. All camping spots are located on the water, surrounded by edible trees and plants. From your tent you can enjoy wide views of the Boterpolder on one side and the greenery of the nursery on the other. Pick your own breakfast, lunch or dinner - how nice is that? On the north side of the site, at the monumental windmill, you can walk or cycle straight into the historic Vaardorp Het Rietveld. There you can connect to beautiful walking and cycling routes through the typical Dutch landscape. Practical information: ✅ The campsite is car-free – you bring your things to your spot with a wheelbarrow. 🏕️ We have two fully furnished Bell tents. 🚐 Camping spots are only suitable for camper vans up to 2 tons and caravans up to 6 meters due to the peat soil. All tents are welcome! 🚽❌ Please note: Our campsite does not have a facility to empty a chemical toilet. We ask you to take this into account in advance. Dogs are welcome (for a fee) provided they are kept on a leash at all times and a maximum of 1 dog per pitch. No dogs in the Bell tents. 📵 There is no wifi but there is a beautiful starry sky.
