Dønfoss Camping

You have to love this place. Despite the excellent sanitary facilities, the practical camping pitches with their own electricity and water, and the beautiful setting next to a river/waterfall, this is a very large campsite.

Beautiful campsite where I like to come back. They are expanding considerably, tip for people with children: walk up the campsite towards the hill and near the back exit is a (new) large new playing field with cable cars and obstacle course (easy to miss). Via the cross-country route you can also branch off and go back and forth to a beautiful waterfall and bridge, recommended on AllTrails. Indicate that you are a camping guest and you can also swim for free (pre-season).

beautiful location on a waterfall in the river. it can be cold in may and june with wind from the surrounding mountains. sanitary facilities are the best we have ever seen. Fairly flat cycling to the next village and to the stave church at the end of the valley. cycle path! distance 27 km. walking and climbing. easy walking on the cross-country ski trail left behind the Coop.
