Vinje Camping

The campsite is located above Geiranger with a view of the fjord, between two waterfalls. They do not accept reservations, so it is first come, first serve. We were welcomed very kindly and were allowed to choose our own spot. The sanitary facilities are fine, but insufficient for the number of pitches. Unfortunately, that is more the rule than the exception in Norway. Showers require coins (10 NOK) and washing/drying (both 50 NOK).

A beautifully situated terraced campsite. You can choose your own spot. Friendly welcome, bread rolls and some basic groceries for sale. Little disturbance from passing traffic and the waterfall. A few hiking trails start at the campsite. Fine campsite, sanitary facilities could be a bit more extensive in terms of quantity. Also very nice: a number of picnic benches with a fire pit under a rock - right next to the waterfall. Bouncy castle for the children.

Very friendly welcome. Top location, a 1.5km walk from the village, past waterfalls. Nice camper pitch (terraced pitches) with a beautiful view. The only downside: too few sanitary facilities (though neat and clean).
