Skiphalsen

Skiphalsen is no longer a campervan site. It's only semi-illegal (no driving in) to dump your car (the water is not OK). The campervan site is the airstrip. Afterward, you can register via text message for the toilet code at the entrance (c4567). Water is free there. Payment is by bank transfer or in the evening by cash/card. 3 km before the airstrip at the small harbor of Teisthamaren, a nice spot without facilities. 180 NOK, transfer via bank transfer. Our stars are for the airstrip.

Area has been re-demarcated for campers. Only camping on the runway. Tents are still welcome at the old location. There were new clean toilets. Price per night €29. Check-in by SMS: camping fee is collected in the evening. Experience is great. Plenty of space with a very nice view of the sea and Lofoten and walking opportunities. According to hearsay also for experiencing the midnight sun. For enthusiasts: no power connection; but clean water.

Overnight on old airstrip. If you have not already found a place on the way here (at least four camper spots), then there is certainly room on the runway for at least 50 campers (and at least 100 in double rows). Toilets are not very clean, trash cans are overflowing, toilet paper has run out, but water has been refilled and the toilet has been discharged. Is fine. There is no place to discharge 'grey water'!
