February 2025, The old campsite is no longer available. Campers are prohibited at the restaurant, but the new campsite is beautiful. Register online and you'll receive a QR code, which is the key to open the barrier. It will cost you €7.

A new Outdoor Routes CP has opened opposite this "old" CP. There's no sign indicating you're no longer allowed to park there. The new one has a barrier and requires advance reservation (quite a hassle) and has eight pitches, so it also offers that beautiful view and is quiet at night. So, the stars are in favor of the new one.

This is a parking plateau, located directly on the shore of the large (reservoir) lake Albufeira de Alqueva. There are no facilities other than waste containers. Recreation area under construction with restaurant, toilets and boat rental. Had a very quiet, silent night, was great!
