Parking Alcoutim

When we arrive on Friday 4 April the cp is packed, there are also a couple of campers on the street. We try the other cp but that is also full. We find a spot at the sports fields. It is a party, the smugglers festival. On Saturday it fills up. It is busy, cozy and relaxed. And a footbridge over. There are street artists, a club of women who portray life in the past, music, traditional food and wine. Lots of wine. Beautiful!!

Beautiful site with water, electricity, and water. We enjoyed our two nights here, enjoyed a good meal in the village, and visited the castle. The zipline over the river is also an adventure.

thanks to the municipality of Alcoutim and its inhabitants. small-scale camper park with demarcated pitches, sandy surface, electricity, discharge of grey and black. clean drinking water cemetery next door. everything free. unfortunately toilets and showers were closed during our stay. but showering at the harbour below on the shore is a good (and free) alternative. now let's hope that campers behave properly (clean up dog poop and waste).
