Parque da Palmeira

These 2 stars are for the sanitary facilities; they are old and the men's section was very dirty. We arrived on Sunday, August 30th at 1:30 PM. The chain was hanging in front of the entrance. There were quite a few empty spots, so we asked for the manager, but he was absent. We were looking for a spot among the permanent residents and very old Dutch campers with Portuguese occupants. "Very strange," but anyway, on Monday the manager came by and asked to come to the office.

Beautiful location, but it is a shame that many—what am I saying, very many—situations are occupied by campers who presumably stay there all year round. It makes the place look lifeless. The sanitary facilities are in dire need of a renovation.

We stayed for 2 nights to visit Albufeira. It is a camper village with rows and streets full of campers. The spots are marked but usually large enough to extend an awning as well. The sanitary facilities are indeed very outdated but are kept very clean. The showers (with shower curtains) are fine and warm. We paid €11 per night for 2 people including electricity. Many campers (English) stay there for months.
