Whatever others write it is old and the 1st piece is for the locals, just drive back and you still have nice places for 16 euros per night. plumbing is sad, but just use your own pot and shower. If you look at it differently, you have a super nice guarded camper place incl. 6A power for 16 euros.

You might be wondering, "Where am I going?" But just go for it! It's perfect for a few nights. The regulars are friendly, just like the locals. It's walking distance to the city center, and cycling is also an option, but the traffic is heavy. Eat at Don Sebastião restaurant, Rua 25 de Abril 20-22, for delicious, refined, and affordable Portuguese food.

Slept wonderfully. Nice and close to the city center. One night is fine. The rest of the time I had a good laugh. What a mess. Looks like a homeless campground. Haha.
