Parque de Campismo Curral do Negro

Reasonably small but very quiet campsite, clean sanitary facilities, swimming pool that is still open around September 20th (refreshing but quite chilly). The owner Lionel is very hospitable and gives lots of good tips about the region and Portugal in general. The only downside: there is nowhere a bit of terrain that is even remotely level.

A little gem. We had already discovered this place last year (2025), but probably forgot to save the review. We are still just as enthusiastic. Such peace and quiet, and such beautiful surroundings. The owner is still just as passionate about the area and is helpful with everything. We will definitely be back here again.

What a paradise! Beautiful campsite in the middle of nature near a lovely town. Only the rustling of the wind through the trees and the singing of birds. Cozy bar and an incredibly helpful English-speaking owner.
