Camping Salgueiros

Even though we didn't spend much money—just over 25 euros for two nights—what we found at this campsite remains deeply disappointing. Old, dirty, and partially neglected. But what stood out most was the staff's lack of interest. Even though I think there is a lot of potential. A real shame.

Sanitary facilities are very poor, very old, and neglected. Ladies' toilets often lacked a lock, and the doors were dirty. The toilet bowls were clean, though. Half of the ladies' showers were missing a door, and the glaze was peeling off the tiles, making them look dirty. There are many permanent pitches, some neglected with torn tents and rubble. Only the reception is friendly, and the location relative to Porto and the beautiful boulevard is good.

The campsite is very well located near the beach and the cycle path, which indeed took us almost to the historic center of Porto (flat). The sanitary facilities were very clean, with very hot water. The welcome was warm, very professional, and efficient. €22.40 for 2 nights (the minimum) without electricity, for a campervan and 2 people. The site could use a little tidying up. But at this price, it's easily acceptable, and the number of visitors proves it.
