We stayed here for 2 nights. The town is very touristy. It's nice to walk along the outside, but there isn't much to see in the place itself. What is nice, however, is taking the train to Pocinho. It goes all the way along the Douro and takes 1 hour.

There's no service, but we spent a quiet night along the river after taking a short boat trip and enjoying some good wine. The town isn't particularly special, but I think it's worth a stop for the valley's flavors 😉 and its history.

Noisy parking along the side of the road. It is NOT a camper spot. Only the view is nice.
