Saxida wine & camping resort

Meh, not worth 5 stars, in rows among the vines. Even on blocks, you're standing at an angle, with little for children to do. The upstairs showers require you to press the button every 5 seconds; the downstairs restrooms are better.

What a fantastic place to stay! We did need to make a reservation, but we managed to do so a few days in advance. 4 stars instead of 5 because the pitches are a bit cramped (we could barely roll out our awning) and there are very few showers and toilets (although they were spotlessly clean). If you stay here, definitely book the 8-course gourmet menu with paired wines. Delicious and a truly special experience. There are also beautiful cycling and hiking trails.

What a beautiful place. We stayed here for one night on our way to Croatia with our two daughters (13-15). The campervan site is nestled among the vineyards, there's a lovely pool to cool off in, and the facilities are good and clean. The campsite is very well maintained. In the evening, we enjoyed a 7-course dinner with matching wines. We will definitely be back! But now we're still savoring the wine we brought back 😃.
