Camping Almócita-Alpujarra

Beautiful terraced campsite with good, clean sanitary facilities and a bar. The owner is hospitable. The access road from the main road via Padules is quite long (not possible via Almocita). The campsite is situated on a ridge (so it can get quite windy) with views of the Sierra Gador, Padules, and beyond that, the Tabernas Desert. Beautiful hiking trails in the area.

We stayed for two nights, had a phone call beforehand, and were told to pick a nice spot. We succeeded; beautiful pitches, clean restrooms, and several things under construction. Truly progressive.

Fantastic campsite, partly still under construction. The owner, Pedro, is incredibly hospitable, and his Dutch friend, Jet. The pool was a bit cold now, but it looks great. The sanitary facilities are new and have nice showers. It's a small village with only one very nice bar. There are lovely walks in the area. We stayed there for three nights. Highly recommended.
