We ended up here because we couldn't find anywhere else. We wondered if we could even pitch here. There were a few Spanish campervans, but they were unmanned. We took a chance and found a great spot. The toilet couldn't be locked. We weren't bothered by air traffic much. We had a spot under two trees, which allowed us to sit outside in the evenings. We decided to take the metro to the city center.

After visiting two camper places in Bilbao to spend the night (these were full) we looked for another alternative. This was the closest. Actually no more than a regular parking lot, but you are fine here. In retrospect we are actually glad that we ended up here. Bus stop 150 meters away, and you are in Bilbao center in 20 minutes. There is also a public toilet and garbage containers. close to the airport.
